The minute you walk into Poseidon, you'll be swept by the fabulous view. You couldn't be closer to the sand and the beach than sitting at Poseidon on their beautiful outdoor patio. With such a spectacular ocean view, you'll experience breathtaking sunsets and during the right season even catch a glimpse of the whales migrating up or down the coast. The bar offers a large circular firepit, which is nice on those chilly fall or winter nights. Off to the side of the bar is a split level dining room offering every table a panoramic view of the beach and the ocean. For over 33 years, Poseidon has delighted both local San Diegans and the tourists that love the beach. An excellent menu, a favorite with all the locals is designed to cater to all appetites and pocketbooks.

This restaurant was always on our list when we visited and is now one of our favorite places to go anytime all the time. I could hardly believe it when I saw the opportunity to purchase the coupon. You better believe I took advantage of that one. The food is always good. The service even better. If you have the opportunity to sit outside, especially at sunset, it's an experience you can't get anywhere that's any better than this one. A great place to go. Today was sunny but we were under a new roll-up roof for using the gas heaters, which just did not keep us warm. For our table of 5 it was too cold to lunch on the beach, but we did it anyway. Great view. Typical menu, the salmon salad and sandwiches looked great. Was not too impressed with the catch of the day. liked the grilled mushrooms and veggies in my shrimp quesadilla.
